Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Vancouver

As a senior member of our Next Generation Platform team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology on our newest product in a fully agile environment. You will be expected to raise the bar in an already strong team and come up with both automated and manual test strategies, test plans and test executions for a wide range of web, mvc, Silverlight, and reporting solutions, all the while supporting and mentoring team members, collaborating in meetings and facilitating consistency amongst QA practices.

Responsibilities

* Review system requirements and feature design documents
* Create test plans and design test cases
* Execute test plans with manual testing techniques
* Programming automated integration tests
* Programming load and performance tests, publishing performance results
* Manage overall testing of a feature from design to regression

Qualifications

Requirements

* 5+ Years of QA Engineering experience
* Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree
* Strong understanding of client-server system design concepts
* Competent in at least one modern programming language
* Ability to validate data through SQL queries
* Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills

* Load and performance testing tools (JMeter, Visual Studio Ultimate, LoadRunner)
* Working with build systems, release management, version control
* Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service)
* Experience with relational database (SQL Server, Oracle), NoSQL
* Developing test drivers and test scripts, extending testing framework, white box testing
