Intermediate Software Tester

As an Intermediate Software Tester at PQA Ltd., you will be involved in many phases of the software lifecycle, working closely with the development team from concept to completion. As part of our team, you will be working on leading edge software development projects to provide our clients with innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Perform structured and context-driven functional software testing
Produce documentation to support testing activities
Use internal defect tracking and test case management systems to document test cases, record defects and record test case execution results
Work directly with the clients to triage defects
Extract testing requirements from functional specifications and business requirements
Write test plans and test cases from functional specifications and from using the product
Assist in training new team members and reviewing the quality of work prepared by junior team members
Qualifications
Post-Secondary Education
2 – 5 years’ experience as a Software Tester
Experience writing test plans and test cases
Knowledge of the software lifecycle
Key Competencies
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to propose practical solutions to complex problems
Self-motivated, adaptable and willing to work through challenges with a positive attitude
Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a team oriented environment
